OUR INTERVENTION AREAS

1. Strengthen Response Capacity: We are committed to strengthening the response capacity of our organisation and the broader community to effectively address SGBV. We provide training and capacity-building programmes to equip service providers, health professionals, and community members with the knowledge and skills needed to offer comprehensive support to survivors. Through these initiatives, we aim to enhance the quality and accessibility of services, ensuring that survivors receive the care and assistance they need in a timely and sensitive manner. Additionally, we operate seven Rainbo Centres in Sierra Leone. These centres serve as safe spaces where survivors of SGBV can access free medical treatment and psychosocial services. These centres provide a supportive environment where survivors can find healing, empowerment, and a path towards rebuilding their lives

2. Influence Policy Through Research: We recognize the importance of evidence-based advocacy in driving policy and legal reforms to address SGBV effectively. We conduct research studies and generate valuable data and insights on SGBV prevalence, trends, and the impact of interventions. By disseminating our research findings and engaging with policymakers, we aim to influence policy decisions, shape legislation, and promote the adoption of best practices in the field of SGBV prevention and response.

3. Scale up to New Communities and Countries to Respond and Prevent SGBV: Building upon our successful model in Sierra Leone, we are committed to expanding our reach to new communities and countries affected by SGBV. We work closely with local partners, government agencies, and community leaders to assess the needs and develop context-specific interventions. By scaling up our programmes, we aim to extend our support services and prevention initiatives to more survivors, ensuring that no one is left behind.

4. Sustain Our Interventions to Achieve Our Social Outcomes: Sustainability is a key focus of our organisation. We actively seek innovative ways to finance and sustain our interventions beyond external funding cycles. By incorporating social enterprise approaches, we develop income-generating activities that contribute to our financial sustainability while creating employment opportunities for survivors and community members. We aim to achieve long-term social outcomes and ensure the continuity and impact of our programmes. We also conduct extensive awareness campaigns to educate communities about SGBV and its impacts. Through workshops, trainings, and community engagement, we work towards changing attitudes, challenging harmful norms, and promoting gender equality. By increasing awareness, we aim to prevent violence and create a society that respects the rights and dignity of all individuals.

5. Re-energize Partnerships and Empower Communities to Engage and Act: We believe in the power of partnerships and community engagement to drive meaningful change. We actively seek to re-energize existing partnerships and forge new collaborations with like-minded organisations, government agencies, and community-based groups. By working together, we can leverage our collective expertise, resources, and networks to amplify our impact. Additionally, we empower communities through education, training, and awareness campaigns, fostering a sense of ownership and enabling them to actively engage in preventing and responding to SGBV.
