Community-Driven Prevention Initiatives

Rainbo Initiative believes that ending gender-based violence (GBV) requires a comprehensive approach that addresses both response and prevention. Through our community outreach programmes, trainings, and awareness campaigns, we work to educate individuals and communities about the root causes and consequences of GBV.

Our prevention work aims to promote gender equality, challenge harmful social norms, and foster a culture of respect, empathy, and non-violence. By empowering communities with knowledge and skills, we equip them to be agents of sustainable change.

A key pillar of our prevention strategy involves building the capacity of service providers, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. We deliver training programmes that enhance their understanding of GBV and equip them with the skills to respond effectively, support survivors, and advocate for change within their own spheres of influence.

Recognizing that sustainable change must be community-driven, Rainbo Initiative collaborates closely with local partners to design and implement prevention initiatives that are tailored to the unique contexts and needs of each community. Together, we work to shift social norms, increase awareness, and mobilize communities to take an active role in ending gender-based violence.
