LIBERIA
As a leading voice in Liberia’s fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), Rainbo Initiative Liberia (RIL) is making significant impacts across the country. Established in March 2022, RIL has quickly become a strategic implementing partner for major donors like Irish Aid and Concern Worldwide.
Recognized for its expertise in handling GBV issues and research, RIL is the first provider of free, age-appropriate medical support and psychosocial services for SGBV survivors at the Government-established One-Stop Centre at Duport Road in Monrovia, reaching 5,000+ SGBV survivors. Serving as a vital resource through RIL, the centre offers essential drugs, hygiene supplies, and holistic support under one roof.
Guided by national priorities, RIL collaborates closely with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to address this critical issue nationwide. Through partnerships with over 10 community-based structures, the organization is amplifying grassroots GBV awareness and prevention efforts.
